Thomas W. Loughran, Jr., a beloved member of the community and a dedicated professional, passed away on October 5, 2025, in Saint James, NY, at the age of 75. Born on October 19, 1949, in Queens, NY, Thomas was known for his fun-loving personality and his ability to be the life of the party. His infectious spirit and zest for life enriched the lives of those around him.
For over 30 years, Thomas served as a Licensed Funeral Director and Manager at Guttermans, Inc., where he found great fulfillment in helping families during their times of need. His passion for his work was evident, and he was deeply respected by colleagues and those he served.
Thomas was also an avid golfer, a hobby that brought him much joy and allowed him to forge lasting friendships. He had a special love for his family, particularly his grandchildren: Brian, Ava, Zoe, and Travis, who were a constant source of happiness and pride in his life. He cherished the moments spent with them and loved sharing his passions.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Amy (Brian) Saunders, and his stepdaughter, Allison (Mike) Whitman. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Regina, who he missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on October 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 5:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729.
Thomas W. Loughran, Jr. will be remembered as a devoted family man, a committed professional, and a joyous presence in the lives of many. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and service to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
