Thomas Harrison Lucas, II, age 48 of Lima, passed at 12:16 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at St. Rita's Mercy Health. He was born January 15, 1977, in Lima, Ohio to Thomas H. Lucas of Lima and Marcia M. Jones Hattery of Lima.
He was a proud U.S. Marine who honorably served his country for over 11 years. Thomas was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #370 in Lima. He found peace and enjoyment in fishing and spending time with his friends, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but nothing brought him greater joy than his family. He especially cherished every moment he spent babysitting his beloved grandbaby, Bjorn.
He had a special place in his heart for his dogs. He was preceded in death by his beloved Pebbles and is survived by Blizzard and Ice, who remained constant companions.
Thomas is survived by – his father – Thomas H. Lucas of Lima; his mother and step fathers – Marcia (Nicholas Carter) Hattery of Lima; 3 children – Mikhaila J. (Alexander) Fuller of Wapakoneta; Myka D. Lucas of Cridersville, Titus H. Lucas of Cridersville – his son was his best bud, ride or die, and was the best caretaker; a grandson – Bjorn Fuller; 2 sisters – Michelle J. (Kyle) Stewart of Lima; Jennifer S. Newland of Lima; 2 nieces -.Avery King and Layla Stewart; 3 nephews – Gavin Stewart, Talin Stewart, and Jase Newland.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Eagles Fraternal Order service will start the service, followed by Rev. John Yohe officiating, and concluding with the military rites by V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Food Pantry.
