Thomas Luckenbach Obituary
Born September 7, 1944, in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Bert A. and Clara M. (Koch) Luckenbach.
Tom worked as a plumber before retiring in 2001. He served in the US Navy from 1966-1970 as a Quartermaster on the USS Semmes, USS Spinax and USS Wahoo. He was a proud member of the United States Submarine Veterans.
Surviving are son, Eric Luckenbach and wife Bethany of Walnutport, PA; daughter, Kristen Luckenbach and partner Chris McLean of Zionsville, PA; granddaughter, Claire Luckenbach; and long-time partner Margo.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with his arrangements.

"Sometime in the '80s, we trekked to Sears for our family portrait. Unbeknownst to the rest of the family, Tom slid a piece of black electrical tape over his front tooth and grinned proudly for the camera. We were all unaware of this until the proofs were back from the photographer. It has, of course, become a cherished family photo. This is that photo." -Eric and Kristen Luckenbach

Please accept my condolences. My family lived next door to the Luckenbachs and Tom and I grew up together. I have many fond memories of our games of flash light tag, the large tent in his back yard, and just sitting on the front porch chatting. I even have a scar on my face from when he threw a snow shovel at me down the small embankment in front of the house. I was about 4 and he was about 3. He will always be in my memory.

"Tommy" lived two doors away from my family growing up - we all played together in Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, PA. I admired his parents for their love of nature and birds in particular. I was sorry to learn of Tom's passing.
