Mr. Thomas Paden Owen Lungrin, 25, of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 5, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem. Paden was born February 3, 2000, in Jackson, MS, to Charles Alfred Lungrin, Jr. and Andrea Ann Grey. He graduated from North Stokes High School in 2018, where he proudly represented the school on the wrestling team – qualifying for the state tournament all four years. His determination on the mat reflected the same grit he carried into every area of life. With a contagious personality, a smile that could light up any room, and a laugh you would never forget, Paden was a joy to be around. He was known for his generous heart – always willing to lend a hand or the shirt off his back, whether to a family member or a stranger. A proud and passionate Ole Miss fan, Paden never missed a chance to cheer on the Rebels. His stubborn streak only made him more endearing, and those who knew him best loved him all the more for it. Above all, Paden loved his family fiercely. His deep devotion to those he held close was unwavering and unmistakable. He is survived by his mother, Andrea Ann Grey; his father and stepmother, Charles Alfred Lungrin, Jr. and Kelli Lungrin; his sister, Cheyenne Makayla Lungrin; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Cody Lane and Breanna Lungrin, James Tyler and Merisa Lungrin, Charlie Lance Lungrin, and Parker Cole Lungrin; his nieces and nephews, Mallory Bowman, EmmyLou Lungrin, Elijah Lungrin, and Slade Lungrin; his maternal grandparents, Frank Owen Grey, Jr. and Barbara Ann Grey; and his paternal grandparents, Charles Alfred Lungrin, Sr. and Gloria Ann Lungrin. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Albert Grey and Dr. Darrell Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawsonville. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Lane Lungrin, James Tyler Lungrin, Caleb Grey, Dalton Fowler, Tristan Chaney, and Dakota Priddy. Michael Smith and Chris Tovar will serve as honorary pallbearers.
