Tom, oh Tom. Saying how much I miss you just doesn't cover it. Reenactments just won't be the same any longer without you. I recall the many days we sat on the porch at the tavern talking history and I was always all ears. I recall the stories, that I heard so often I could tell them better than you, and now I miss them so much. Thank you for everything that you did for me, your knowledge, your gifts and most of all...your friendship. I don't know if they do reenactments in heaven, but if they do I'm sure you are leading the pack....I miss you!
Braxton Overby, friend, student, admirer, Youngsville, N.C.

I only had the honor of meeting Thomas once, a year ago at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse reenactment, but he left a lasting impression. I was walking through the different encampments. I hadn't planned to stay for long but he, some of the other interpreters of the Guilford Militia, and I ended up talking for several hours. I only regret I did not have the opportunity to know him better. My best wishes and condolences to his family. Warmest Regards, Christian
