Thomas Manley, 75 of South Abington Township passed away suddenly on January 11th, 2025 (1/11), at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by a blanket of love: his family.
Tom was born in South Scranton to Paul and Gladys Manley and graduated from Scranton Central High School. He joined the National Guard and after, built a successful career in the electrical supply industry, managing Power Electric, All-Phase, and later Fromm Electrical Supply Offices in Scranton. He also co-owned and operated a convenient store at Heart Lake Corners, Ellie Mae's Country Corner. Tom did his best work, however, after really retiring in 2010.
It is then, that he got serious about spending time playing golf with his buddies, taking care of his lawn and flowers, watching his Phillies, Eagles and other favorite sports teams, fishing with his grandkids, taking care of the “living wall” at Alter House Restaurant, traveling and spending time with his beloved wife of 21 years, Alice. Tom was called Papa by his grandchildren, and he was the best Papa, Dad, Step-Tom and Honey there ever was. In Tom's mind, family was everything to him, and he was everything to his family.
Preceding him in death was his Mother and Father, Paul and Gladys Manley, Scranton. Surviving Thomas, is his wife Alice, S Abington twp., Sister, Arlene Gerrity (Luke), Scranton. Sons: Thomas Manley (Megan), Scranton, Greg Manley (Pam) Scranton, Jason Burke, Factoryville, and Josh Richner (Jenalee) Ohio, Daughters: Megan Chuzas (Brian), West Pittston and Elisha Nolan (Patrick), Clarks Summit. Twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
