Thomas was born on January 30, 1945, in Chiefland, FL to Eddie and Leila McDuffie.
Thomas moved to Manatee County as a young boy and attended Manatee County Schools.
He was employed at Woodruff and Son's Construction for over 35 years. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and watching westerns.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Leila McDuffie, stepmother Martha Kay McDuffie, Son Terrence McDuffie, Daughter Tangelow Hines, Brothers Eddie and Kenny McDuffie, Sisters Laverne Joiner, and Mary Trapp.
