Thomas McGowan

Thomas (Tom) McGowan, a long-time resident of Hartsdale, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2023, at the age of 64.

Born on July 7, 1958, Thomas attended Woodlands High School in Hartsdale. After completing his education, he started working in the security/fire alarm business, where he spent over thirty years of his life. Thomas went on to start his own security/fire alarm company for over 15 years, which he managed with great pride and dedication.

Thomas is survived by his son, Dean McGowan, (daughter-in-law Carolyn McGowan), his sister Jacqueline McGowan, his brother Bill McGowan (sister-in-law Stephanie McGowan) and his granddaughters Avery and Emily. He was preceded in death by his father Frank McGowan and his mother June McGowan.

The wake for Thomas will be held at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains on Monday, February 27, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale on Tuesday, February 28, at 10 am. Thomas will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His kindness, warmth, humor and generosity will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to live on through the memories he leaves behind.
