Thomas Mechell Obituary
Thomas Mechell Jr, 74, of Springfield passed away peacefully at his home, following a brave battle with cancer on July 31, 2024.
Tom was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Dorothy Mechell of Philadelphia. He graduated from Frankford High School and was a 40 year employee of GSK before enjoying retirement.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, relaxing at his Pocono mountain house, hunting, fishing, playing handball and softball, and spending time with his grandchildren and grandpups.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (Colvin); Loving Father to Nicole Caines (Anthony) and Stephanie Marley (Michael); Cherished Grandfather to Evelyn Aurora and Anthony Thomas. Also survived by his sister Diane Rider (Tom). He is preceded in death by his sister Linda Larche.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Friday August 16, 2024 10:00AM O'Leary Funeral Home 640 E. Springfield Road Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Service 11:30AM in the Funeral Home. Int Private.
