A memorial service for Thomas Allen Moody Jr., 72, will be at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Tom was born on May 25, 1951 in Hollywood, CA to Thomas and Louise Moody. He graduated from Granada Hills High School in Granada Hills, CA and married Shirley Ann (Marburger) Moody on October 7, 1972. Tom worked for and retired from IBM. He also co-owned and operated Byron Auto Repair. Tom was a mechanic at heart and loved turning wrenches, diagnosing problems, and most of all, using and sharing his knowledge to help family and friends with their vehicle repairs or any other need he could assist with. He also enjoyed time with family and friends, the beauty of northern Minnesota, and time in daily study of the Bible. Survivors include his daughter, Maureen (Michael) Holty of Weatherford, TX, his son, Thomas (Denise) Moody III of Chatfield, MN; grandchildren Taylor Holty, Mikaela (Nolan) Salerno, Braden Holty, Elise Moody, Tallen Moody, Rylin Moody; mother Louise; sisters Sarah (Jim) Moyer, Margaret (Dennis) Kelly, and Mary (Bob) Homelvig. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley and father Thomas. Memorials can be directed to Samaritan's Purse. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moody family.
