Thomas J. "Tommy" Murphy, 58, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away September 25, 2024. He was born June 13, 1966 in Hot Springs, AR, to Bert and Joyce Murphy.
Tommy, a beloved friend to many, passed away leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, laughter, and love for the simple joys in life. A true Arkansas Razorbacks and Minnesota Vikings fan, Tommy could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with a passion that was contagious. He also enjoyed spending weekends watching the races at Oaklawn, a pastime that brought him much joy. His faithful dog Ace, who was his constant companion, was his best friend. Together, they spent countless afternoons at the dog park, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Tommy's warm heart, kind spirit, and unwavering friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Barry Murphy, Brandon Murphy, and Therese Murphy Rios.
Survivors include brother Bert "Duke" Murphy; nephews Barry "BJ" Murphy, and James "JD" Murphy; niece Amber Hernandez; and brother-in-law Rudy Rios.
A celebration of Tommy's life will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Coy officiating.
Pallbearers include JD, BJ, Shawn, Anson, Garrett and Darin.
Special thanks to the staff at the Extended Care Unit at CHI St. Vincents.
