Thomas Andrew “Andy” Murray, beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away from a sudden illness on January 30, 2026 at the young age of 69. Andy was born in Cheyenne Wyoming on March 15, 1955 to L. Gray and Adeline Murray. At a young age Andy’s family relocated from Cheyenne to Casper, where Andy resided for the rest of his life. He enjoyed being a bachelor and as a result he never married or fathered any children, instead he focused his attention on his family, especially his niece and nephew.
He loved automobiles which inspired him to work in the auto industry in one capacity or another through his life. He also loved reading, fine art, history and spending time with his family and friends. Andy had a robust sense of humor which he shared with everyone he came in contact with. His niece said that his sense of humor always made her look forward to her birthday, even as she got older, because her uncle Andy always sent the best, most hilarious birthday cards.
Andy is survived by his niece Patricia Lance, her husband Terrell and their two children Keith and Harley of Green River Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents L. Gray and Adeline Murray of Casper Wyoming, his brother James and his wife Karen of Green River Wyoming, and his nephew Jonathan of Lexington Nebraska.
He was cremated by the caring people at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home.
Andy will be laid to rest next to his parents at Highland Cemetery in Casper Wyoming. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
