Thomas Lee Nordquist sadly left our world on the morning of March 8, 2025, at his residence in Wilmot, SD, Born on October 20, 1958, in Milbank, SD to Harold and Beverly (Cameron) Nordquist. A graduate of Wilmot High School in 1976 and later married the love of his life of 46 years, Patsy LaCroix, on October 7, 1978. They then moved to Fargo, ND where Tom worked at Interstate SunPower Plant. After a few years, Tom and Patty moved back to Wilmot, SD and have lived there since. Tom worked at the Cenex Co-op in Wilmot, SD and later became a jailer at the Roberts County Jail. In 1999, Tom graduated from basic law training in Pierre, SD and became the police officer of Wilmot, in which he retired in 2010. Tom was an active member of the Zion Community Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, along with being an AWANA director. However, Tom's greatest joy in life was his family. He embraced every moment as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, cherishing his time spent with loved ones. No matter who it was, Tom had a spot at his table for them with a prepared home cooked, delicious meal. He also loved to feed the birds and squirrels. Whenever we had a family get together at Sherri and Justins, we could always count on Tom bringing his "famous" beans! All of his children/grandchildren received multiple calls from Tom on the daily, as he loved to reminisce and share embellished stories of any kind. Tom was the one Cory counted on if he needed someone to talk to. Tara loved him randomly stopping by and interacting with her children. Casey and Danny's baby Jace loved being held and babbled to by grandpa. Tom loved to be on the go, whether it was driving around with his beloved wife, Patty or finding mischief with Colin, Bentley and Gabe. He also had love of winning, whether it was sneaking off to a slot machine with Eric or scratching tickets with Cora. He enjoyed taking Brynlee to Jurgens to get ice cream and getting Paige her drink of choice. He loved listening to Dezeray's beautiful singing voice and singing songs with Paisley on you Tube, calling Reece to read "Pete the Cat" and talking with Braylee. He also loved to tease and make jokes with Olivia, Kamryn and Kailyn. When he was not on the go, he loved to watch the old westerns and family-oriented movies/shows. John Deere tractors were something he liked to collect and even had his father's old 1950's John Deere that he would tinker around with and give his grandchildren rides on. Tom loved to travel near and far to see his family. He and Patty often traveled to Kansas to see Cassie, Eric, Aiden and Briella where he ate lots of ice cream with Aiden and enjoyed going to "Dragons Oil" with Briella. Tom was the heart and fun of every gathering but will now live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
