Thomas Palmer Obituary

Born on December 26, 1945 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of the late Roy and Madeline (Stoquert) Palmer. Tom was a master's graduate of SUNY Albany. He married Jill Nordell on August 28, 1965. He worked as a teacher for Corning East High School for 32 years before retiring in 2001.
Tom will be remembered for his love and dedication to family and friends, his tremendous intellect and sense of humor, as well as his endless capacity for generosity and guidance to all. Following decades as teacher, coach, theatre technical director and mentor, he spent his remaining time volunteering for organizations such as Corning Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jill; sons: Jefferey and Michael, as well as brothers: Richard, Alan and John.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 2:00 pm, Pastor Henry Pascual officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name may be sent to Corning Meals on Wheels or Habitat for Humanity.

So sorry to hear the news about Tom. I will always remember my G and A Bell buddy. I miss playing bells so I have not seen everyone in the last few years, but hopefully I will get back eventually. Sending Prayers for Jill and all his family. I will have to look and see if I can find a bell picture....
