Thomas Adam Patrick

Thomas Adam Patrick, age 86, of Lakeview, Michigan passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Spectrum Health Nursing Center- Kelsey Hospital. Thomas was born on July 17, 1936 to Adam and Sophia (Watassek) Patrick in Strabane, Pennsylvania. Growing up in Taylor, Michigan, Thomas met Patricia Wisz at Weaver Music School in Allen Park at the age of 14. They married on July 19, 1958 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Dearborn Heights, Michigan and were married for 41 years.
He completed three years at Eastern Michigan Normal College, leaving to help manage Mayfair Auto Parts in Taylor, Michigan alongside his brothers. He left Mayfair in 1989 and moved to Jackson, Michigan and went to work for Allied Incorporated as a warehouse manager. Tom and Pat were excited to join the Lakeview community in the fall of 1998. He worked as a bus driver for Lakeview Community Schools and at Parker-Hannifin shortly before retiring. He was a member of the Friends of the Tamarack District Library. Thomas was an avid deer hunter, loved having his family in the UP, found joy in being with his grandkids and great-grandkids, and was passionate about sharing his music. Thomas was a faithful member of the Christ the King Catholic Church in Howard City, Michigan where he played his saxophone during mass and enjoyed volunteering at the Lenten fish fry. Thomas was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia (Wisz) Patrick on December 28, 1999. Also preceded in death by two special friends, Ruthann Baumann and Cheryl Peasley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Patrick.
Surviving are his brothers, James and Susan (Zemple) Patrick, Dennis and Teresa (Olemska) Patrick. Tom's children, Carrie (Patrick) and Jeffrey Hadden, Cathleen (Patrick) and Gary Padden, David and Kristin (Trapp) Patrick, and Sandra (Patrick) and Erik Stanton. Along with 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, best friends, Matt Cosgro and Charlie Cosgro.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior and a rosary recitation at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Howard City. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery with a luncheon at McKenna's restaurant in Lakeview to follow.
