Thomas Petrick Obituary
Tom passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born July 11, 1950, in Sandusky, he lived in Sandusky before moving to Lake County 43 years ago.
He received his Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, an MBA from Cleveland State University and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. Tom enjoyed reading, classic movies, national and international travel and stock trading.
Mr. Petrick had worked as a software engineer from the early days of computer technology in the 1970s until his retirement in 2018. He was a contractor for various companies, including Gould Electronics, Lexis Nexis, Key Bank, Progressive Insurance and for the Defense Finance and Accounting System under the Department of Defense.
Tom was the beloved husband of Deborah Law Petrick; loving father of Ellen (Steven) Manno, Lori Claire (Christopher) Flower, and Paul Petrick; cherished grandfather of George and Mila Manno, Josephine and Frederick Flower; and dear brother of Jane Koch of Sandusky, Patricia (Walter) Deno of Avon, Michael Petrick of Sandusky, Susan (Patrick) Joreski of Sandusky and Carol Petrick of Sandusky. He also leaves a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Raymond and Shirley (nee Hallock) Petrick; and brother, Robert Petrick.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are suggested to The Thomas T. Law Fund (to benefit persons with disabilities), c/o The Cleveland Foundation, P.O. Box 77051, Cleveland, OH 44194, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192.
