Thomas E. "Tom" Ransom, age 72, of Boonville, IN went home to his Savior Jesus Christ suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1950 in Evansville, IN to the late William Ernest and Louanna Ransom.
This kind, generous, gentle, humble man was an avid hunter, who loved to travel, was a voracious reader and passionate about history and proud to be an American. Tom was a faithful member of the 7th Street Baptist church of Cannelton, IN where he served as a clerk and song leader.
Tom retired from Alcoa. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle, who was greatly loved by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jonathan Faye Ransom.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna Ransom, sisters, Pat Barton of Evansville IN, Barbara (Larry) Wood of Chandler IN, Carolyn (Gary) Ellard of Evansville IN, and Linda (Steve) Stephens of Tennnyson IN, many beloved nieces and nephews and his four-legged sidekick, Jake.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
