USAF MSgt. (Ret.) Thomas J. "Tom" Riolo, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio, at the age of 74. He was born April 10, 1951, in Dobbs Ferry, New York, the son of the late Michael and Ella (Kelly) Riolo. Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Colleen; daughters and son-in-law Tina and Eric Doyle of Loveland, Oh and Kelly Soyring of Beavercreek, Oh, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Colin, Max, Molly and Alex. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Zoe Riolo; Michael and Sylvia Riolo; Joseph and Carol Riolo and will be missed by his many nephews and nieces who he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his sister Martha DeAngelis, brother Louis Riolo and son-in-law Harold Soyring Jr.Tom proudly served his country for two decades in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of MSgt. His service included aircraft maintenance assignments in Germany, Florida, Texas and Ohio, as well as being a veteran of the Vietnam War. After active duty retirement, Tom continued his career as a logistician civil servant and also as a contractor with Boeing for 35 years. Tom was a die hard New York Jets fan as witnessed by his daily attire and never missed a game. His second love was that of golf where you could find him on a course from Spring to Fall playing with his friends in numerous tournaments or just for love of the game. Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday October 25, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Eric Meade officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes in support of Type 1 Diabetes.
