In Loving Memory of Dr. Thomas Risotto November 10, 1945 – April 29, 2025
Dr. Thomas Risotto, a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, beloved brother and uncle, respected dentist, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 79.
Thomas lived a life rooted in compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. He graduated from St. John's University in 1967 with a degree in pre-med and pursued his degree in dentistry at NYU, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that spanned more than 50 years. Known for his gentle touch, integrity, and commitment to excellence, Dr. Risotto cared deeply for his patients and his community, earning their trust and admiration across generations.
At the heart of his life was his beloved wife, Stephanie, with whom he shared more than 54 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, faith, and unwavering love. Thomas was a proud father to their three children-Thomas Jr., Christopher (who passed away in 2015), and Elizabeth Hull. His love extended with open arms to his daughter-in-law Kelly Risotto and son-in-law Cory Hull.
Being "Pop Pop" brought Thomas his greatest joy. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren: Abigail Risotto, Jacob Risotto, Brady Hull, and Cooper Hull. Whether cheering from the sidelines, sharing stories, taking them to Dollar Tree, or simply being present, his love for them was boundless and constant. He was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments.
Thomas is also survived by his loving sisters, Eileen DeSousa and Joan Brueckner. He shared a special bond with his brothers-in-law, Richard DeSousa and William Brueckner (deceased). Thomas held a special place in his heart and shared a lifetime of close bonds with his entire family.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet sense of humor, generous spirit, and the example he set through a life well lived. Though he never sought the spotlight, his impact was deeply felt-in his profession, in his friendships, and most of all, in the family he so dearly loved.
Services will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to make a donation to
ALS United - Greater NY Chapter or
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Thomas's kindness, wisdom, and love will remain with us always. He was truly one of a kind-and he will be missed beyond measure.
