Thomas J. Schiemer

Thomas J. Schiemer, age 94 of West View, passed on Wednesday August 7, 2024. Born on April 1, 1930, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Frank B. and Clara (Guckert) Schiemer. He was a mechanic in the heavy-equipment industry until his retirement.
Mr. Schiemer is survived by his wife of 68 years, LaVerne (Lynch) Schiemer, and three children, Suzann (Ronald Haas) of Bloomsburg, Thomas J., Jr.(Deborah) of Ross Township and Donna J. of West View.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Schiemer was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Cernetic, Leona Kopp and two brothers, Bernard J. and David M. Schiemer.
Thomas enjoyed being on the pontoon boat with his wife listening to loud music while cruising down the shoreline, while spending time at his cottage that he had built.
Family will welcome friends on Monday, August 12th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 13th at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St Teresa of Avila Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of ones choice.
