Thomas Schlutow

Thomas Alan "Tom" Schlutow, born May 30, 1955, passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 70. Tom resided in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Phyllis Schlutow, and by his siblings Linda (Russell) Reiterman and Don Schlutow. He was born into a family of six children.

Tom was a retired Ford auto worker, and after 30 years of dedicated work, he was able to enjoy a long and well-earned retirement. He especially loved spending his summers on Little Twin Lake, their home away from home. There, he enjoyed pontoon boating around the lake and socializing with neighbors.

Tom's children remember growing up with many nights spent playing family card games and euchre. They also remember a dad who loved his gadgets and always seemed to have the latest video game console-often playing Zelda alongside them.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kathe Schlutow; his children, Kris (Erin) Schlutow and Katie (Briez) Fotherby; his grandchildren, Henry, Clara, Reese, and Jenna; and his siblings Ted Schlutow, Deb Schlutow, and Andy (Lori) Schlutow.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
