It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Edwin Seward, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Thomas departed this world on July 26, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, strength, and service. He was born on November 9, 1936, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Thomas's unwavering dedication extended beyond his family, as exemplified by his service in the US Marines. Thomas served tours in both Korea as well as Vietnam during conflict. His thirst for knowledge led him to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UTA, followed by an Associates Degree in Nursing, showcasing his commitment to both academic and healthcare excellence.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Margaret Joel and husband Gregory of Fort Worth, sons; Thomas Seward Jr. and wife Kala of Vernal, UT, Phillip Seward and wife Saifon of Arlington, and Christopher Seward and wife Eileen of Fort Worth, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
In honor of Thomas's life, a Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on August 5, 2024, at 10:00 am. Family will receive friends in the Relief Society room prior to services. Burial will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00 pm on the same day. Prior to the services, a Visitation will take place at the Lucas Funeral Home on August 4, 2024, at 4:00 pm.
Thomas's commitment to his country, education, and family will forever be remembered and cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will continue to inspire and guide us.
