Thomas Sheehan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tasker Funeral Home - Dover on May 21, 2025.
It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Thomas F. Sheehan III on May 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom was born on March 27, 1967, in Lowell, MA. He was the son of Thomas Sheehan and Joyce (Davis) Sheehan.
Tom attended Lowell schools and later Johnson and Wales University. He was a proud Naval veteran and had a cherished 28-year career with Bayside Distributing. He married the love of his life Susan (Cote) Sheehan. Together they have 3 wonderful children, whom he adored.
Tom will be forever remembered for his loyalty, big heart, quick wit and love of family and friends. He taught us many lessons in life, especially during his brief battle with cancer. His bravery, grace and humility were evident throughout this incredibly difficult ordeal. He taught those around him to face a dire situation head on and cherish life, as it is too short.
Tom was an avid golfer and longtime member of Portsmouth Country Club. He loved the game and all of the guys he teed it up with regularly.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his amazing children: Cody Sheehan, Conner Sheehan and his daughter Addison Sheehan.
He is also survived by his mother Joyce (Davis) Sheehan and his beloved siblings: Kimberly (Bill) Cross, Kelly (Shaun) Livingston and brother Ryan Sheehan, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge nieces: Katja and Devon Livingston, whose love and support during this incredibly difficult time were deeply appreciated.
The family would also like to express our sincerest appreciation to the McCaddin family and his friends/colleagues at Bayside Distributing and lifelong friend/"brother" Jimmy Connors.
Additionally, the family would like to acknowledge the wonderful nurses and doctors at Mass General Hospital and to the incredible team at Hyder Family Hospice House.
He is predeceased by his father Thomas Sheehan, as well as many other dearly loved relatives.
In lieu of flowers and food, please consider a donation to pancreatic cancer research https://lustgarten.org or a charity of your choice.
There will be no calling hours per Tom's wishes. A catholic funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30th, 11:00 am, at St. Mary's Church in Dover, NH followed by a celebration of Tom's life to be held at the Dover Elks from 3:00-5:00 pm.

I am lucky enough to have served with Tom on the USS New Jersey. As his ALPO , when Tom and his crew got going they were a handful. But they worked harder then they played and that is saying something. I am proud to say we served together! Fair winds and following seas. "WETSU"!
