Thomas Sheehan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Methuen Family Funeral Home on Sep. 3, 2025.
Thomas P. Sheehan Esq., 72, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Janet M. (Morneau) Sheehan, to whom he was married for 49 years. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on July 27, 1953, Tom was the son of the late John J. and Eileen E. (Walsh) Sheehan. A proud alumnus of Austin Preparatory School in Reading, Massachusetts, Tom went on to earn his bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He later received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University, embarking on a distinguished career as a Massachusetts attorney. Tom served his clients with integrity until his well-earned retirement. Tom found joy on the slopes of Attitash Mountain, where he shared his passion for skiing as a PSIA Level 3 professional ski instructor. His love for golf led him to play at various courses, and he was a proud member of several country clubs. In the kitchen, Tom was a creative force, delighting family, friends, and neighbors with his culinary creations, always eager to share a meal and a story. Tom will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Janet; his three children, Kerry Gallagher and her husband, James, of Haverhill, Thomas P. Sheehan and his wife, Lauren, of Oakton, VA, and Colleen Wile and her husband, Patrick, of Amesbury; and his six adored grandchildren, Shannon, Morgan, Trip, Lillian, Adalyn, and Cameron. He was predeceased by his brother, John J. Sheehan. Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Tom's life by gathering for his calling hours on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main Street, Bradford, MA. His Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church, as there will be no procession from the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's memory can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org or to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org.
