Thomas Shell Obituary

Thomas Jackson Shell, born on September 17, 1950 in Washington, DC, to the late Pauline and Vernon J. Shell, passed away at age 68 on April 21, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Tom graduated from Suitland High School in Prince George's County, MD in 1968. After graduation, Tom served in the Air Force Reserves. He spent his working years in the business machines industry as a Service Manager, where he earned a reputation as one of the best in the business.

Tom enjoyed traveling and looked forward to his annual visit to Wyoming and Montana where he enjoyed photographing the spectacular scenery and animals, as well as drinking a good craft beer or two.

Tom is joined in death by his beloved dog, Willie. He is survived by his daughters, Katherine Shell and her spouse Jeanna, and Kimberly Knouse and her husband Michael; brother, Michael Shell and his wife Diane; grandchildren, Kelcey, Brycen, and Caleb; niece, Rebecca Page; nephew, David Shell; and many treasured friends across the country too numerous to list but not forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name to The American Heart Association are welcome and appreciated, and can be made at:

I worked with him as a manufacturers rep. He worked for several dealers through the years when I worked for both Canon U.S.A. and Kyocera/Mita I watched him progress from tech to Service Mgr. He was a great guy and I will miss him.
