Tyra McBride of Amarillo, age 65 passed away on January 17, 2026.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. The family will receive family and friends from 10-11:00 prior to the service. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
She was born on August 12, 1960 to Francis Steven McBride and Monte Rhea Exposito. After graduating high school, she proceeded a career in the family business, becoming an instructor and part of the Exposito Family hair legacy.
Tyra enjoyed praise and worship as her faith was extremely important to her, fishing in Red River, NM. traveling, finding new series on tv and being surrounded by her loved ones. She loved to laugh at her own jokes and take in every moment life had to offer. She considered her greatest achievement her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by father Francis Steven McBride of Corpus Christi, Monte Rhea Exposito of Amarillo, brother Michael Don McBride of Amarillo, cousin Brett Exposito of Amarillo, uncle Jimmy Don Exposito of Amarillo, and grandparents Fred and Rhealene Expósito of Amarillo.
Tyra is survived by three daughters, Lindsay Kirchhoff (Craig) of Nashville, AR, Abby McBride Hickman of Pampa, TX and Kacy Ludwick of Pampa, TX; grandchildren, Hayden Williams (Hayden), Adley Stewart (Ross), Kendall Kirchhoff, Braydon McBride (Courtney) Allyson Mendoza (Edwin), Emilee McBride, Rheagan McBride, Aubreigh McBride, Leighton McBride, Kaden Orcutt and Daisy Ludwick; great-grandchildren, Addison, Reese, Cohen, Serenity, Eliana, Jonah, Knox and Beckham; brother, Fred McBride (Tonya) from Jacksonville, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
