Thomas Allen Shepherd, 65, of Sheridan, Arkansas died Friday August 1, 2025 at Encore Heart Hospital. Born December 18, 1959 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Cecil T. Shepherd and Mary Lee Allen Shepherd, Thomas was a graduate of the University of Arkansas Monticello and Baptist School of Nursing. Thomas proved that it is never too late to change careers and obtained his RN degree at age 44. In his free time, Thomas enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, road trips, traveling and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Jeanette Sheets Shepherd of the home, Kolby (Alysa) Shepherd of Ward, Arkansas, Shanna (Camron) Hurst of Prattsville, Arkansas, Sam (Rachel) Shepherd, of Sheridan, Arkansas, JP Shepherd of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren Camden, Wriley and Cole Hurst, Sawyer and Grady Shepherd; sister Melissa Kaye (Robert) Pierce as well as many other family members and friends.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Tom’s Medical staff who worked so hard to make his time here better. Those individuals are DR. Jeffrey Mayfield, Dr. Keith Bennett, Dr. Ian Cawich, Dr. Lee Forestiere, Dr. John Robinette, and Dr. Michael Davis.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday August 12, 2025 at 5:00 pm at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with memorial services following at 6 p.m. with Brother Danny Hill officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1112 West Gum St. Sheridan AR 72150.
