If I would describe Tom in one word, it would be "Loyal." Tom showed me what it means to be a loyal friend, a loyal boyfriend and husband as he was to Joan (they having been together since young teens, if not before. Actually, I was jealous of Tom and Joan having such a good relationship when we were kids). Yep, Tom was a loyal friend and always up for a laugh. He was also the leader of our little group of friends, always daring to do and daring us to do what we wouldn't do. I regret not keeping in touch. He was also like a Daddy, always coming to my house to get me for school. I was most of the time late, but he, nevertheless, faithfully went early in the morning to get me for school. Like I said, he was loyal. He's the kind of guy you could count on being next to you and not running away should a gang come to beat you up.
Tom, this world lost some good in it now that you had to go. Although I haven't kept in touch, knowing that you're not here makes my world a bit sadder, a bit lonelier. But, just to let you know, I'm proud of the way you lived your life and took care of your family. You were a good example for me. Joan was blessed. Hope to see you soon...

Tom was and will always be some of the best and greatest years I had on the NYPD. We shared many laughs during out time in Anti-Crime. My sincere sadness are with his wife and family.

Sending my love and prayers to the entire family. Tom was a bright spot in my work day, and always had something to offer in his very direct way! I appreciated all of his experiences and true passion for the work that he did. I was just telling someone a story about working with him and showing him how to speak into his phone to search for misc. information. I will never forget his face when I said, how do you spell onomatopoeia? Condolences to the entire family, and I hope he's resting in peace.
