Thomas Smith, age 78, passed away August 30, 2023 in Columbus. he is survived by his wife Joy, son Greg (Bess); grandchildren Reilly (Mary), Graham (Leah), Brennan (Faith), Emery and Channing; great granddaughter Addie.
He served in the US Army for 24 years then joined and retired from the Ohio Army National Guard. After his military career he worked for the Ohio Emergency Management Agency and then ODOT.
Tom enjoyed running track in school, golf, spending time with good friends, but most of all spending time with family, especially one on one time with grandkids.
He also enjoyed sports, OSU football and LSU, Green Bay Packers and the Colts.
The family’s Golden Retriever Toby was Tom’s special companion and brought great joy to his life.
