Thomas Rudolph Speaker, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on November 5, 1940, he was the beloved son of John Rudolph Speaker and Florence Catherine Connelly, both of whom preceded him in death. Also preceding him were his treasured daughter, Mary Speaker, and his brother, John Joseph Speaker.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Beverly Speaker; his brother, Lawrence William Speaker; and his children: Thomas Kenneth Speaker (Tracy), Karen Speaker Albers (Richard), and Nancy Rose Speaker. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Austin Paul Thomas Speaker and Savannah Speaker.
Thomas's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family and his deep commitment to those he loved. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will be held close in the hearts of his family and friends.
In honor of Thomas's life and legacy, the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 7, 2024, at St. Michael's Cemetery in Bradford, IN. Swarens Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Tom was a special man and a wonderful friend. Always willing to help a neighbor an animal or anyone who needed a hand. Grew excellent vegetables and was willing to share. My wife loved his homegrown tomatoes. He will be missed.
