Thomas R. Stachler passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 71
Tom was well known in the music scene of Ann Arbor where he worked as a concert promoter with Prism Productions. He worked with students in the area and brought in quite a few recognizable artists like David Bowie and REM to the city. He even got the chance to setup some events for Tim Allen back when he did comedy shows. Later in life, Tom found his way toward a career in real estate. Founding the Stahold Corporation, where he managed numerous rental properties around Eastern Michigan University for over 35 years. Tom also worked for the Real Estate One company for over 25 years and was consistently in the top 3% of realtors, earning many awards and accolades. Outside of his professional life, Tom found his passion in traveling. He enjoyed boating, RVing and riding motorcycles. Apart from this, he loved spending time with his family and those close to him.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Vanda Stachler; his cherished son, Tyler Stachler; his dear mother, Geraldine Stachler; loving siblings, Sharon (Jim) Behringer, Gregory (Linda) Stachler, and Jeff (Dawn) Stachler; his best travel companion with paws, Chewie; and pup, Mickey. He is also loved and remembered by many extended family, colleagues, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Stachler.
Visitation will take place at Nie Funeral Home - 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48108 on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Burial will take place privately at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
