Sara Marie Jesse

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sara Marie Jesse on March 1, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan. Born to Floyd and Marlene (Seiker) Shaffer on December 9, 1956, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sara lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and devotion.

Sara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, equipping her with the skills and knowledge that would later serve her well in her career. For many years, she dedicated her professional life to the administrative industry, where she worked as a secretary.

Beyond her professional life, Sara was known for her warm and welcoming nature. She had a passion for reading. In her free time, she found joy in the stories and adventures that books offered. Sara was also actively involved in her community, volunteering her time at the Friends of the Library in Saginaw, where she shared her love of literature with others.

Sara's kind-hearted spirit touched the lives of many. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her generous nature was evident in her willingness to help others and her devotion to her family and friends.

Sara is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Jesse; her cherished mother, Marlene; her daughter and step-children, Erica (Daniel) Lynch, Kelly (Kristi) Jesse, and Amy (Scott) Oliver; and her grandchildren Amisun, Scout and Emerald Oliver, and Levi Lynch; as well as many other cherished family members and friends. Her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to gather with the family beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway Rd, Saginaw, MI 48602, until the time of the memorial service at 11:00. Pastor Andreas Teich will officiate.
