Tom lived for anything with an engine, as anyone who knew him could attest to his passion for classic cars. He and his brother-in-law and best friend Keith could often be found in the garage, maintaining, repairing, or tinkering with his two prized possessions: award-winning 1985 Sunbird and Cavalier convertibles. Though he rarely missed a classic car show or an opportunity to show off his cars, Tom's true loves were his grandchildren and cherished family. He was well loved by all who were blessed to know him.
Tom is survived by his wife Kathy and stepson Adam (Elizabeth) McCumber. He was the beloved "Kitty Grandpa" of Remy and Brock. Dearest brother of Kathryn Stroup and Carolyn Boutin. Cherished uncle of Andrew and Brett (Samantha) Boutin and loving great-uncle of Justin, Kaleb, Lucas, Lily, and Oliver. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Janet, brother-in-law Keith Boutin, and mother-in-law Frances McCumber.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be held in the Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mt. Clemens on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
