Thomas E. Swierczynski, age 80, of Bloomingdale, IL, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife Jeanne and cherished daughter Kim. Born and raised in Chicago, Tom was a proud graduate of Lane Tech High School. He honorably served his country in the Navy Reserves at Glenview Naval Air Station. A deeply patriotic man, Tom never missed the opportunity to thank a service member for their dedication and sacrifice. Tom was the devoted husband to Jeanne and a loving father to Kim—roles he cherished above all else. He is survived by his sister Kathy Nyman, and many nieces and nephews. A general contractor by trade, Tom had a passion for building that led him to establish his own company, Tesco Construction. He took great pride in his work and never missed a chance to drive past one of his completed projects—whether a gas station or a store—and proudly tell his family, with a smile and a touch of humor, “Still standing!” He will be remembered for his love of family, unwavering patriotism, enthusiasm for cars, and treasured family vacations to Hawaii. Tom’s presence, humor, and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
