Thomas James Taylor

Thomas James Taylor (72) of Butler, Ky, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his home. He was born in Ft. Thomas, Ky, on February 23, 1953, son of the late Richard and Betty Schmidt Taylor.

Thomas Taylor was a devoted family man whose life was marked by hard work, service, and a deep love for the simple joys that mattered most to him. He proudly served his country as a Navy veteran, an experience that shaped his strong work ethic and sense of duty.

Thomas spent many years working as an electrician for Gleason. He also worked as a wrecker driver for Krift. Outside of work, Thomas had a true passion for race cars and fishing-whether it was watching the roar of the track or spending quiet moments by the water, these were the times he cherished.

Above all else, Thomas loved his family. He will be remembered for his strong spirit, kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife Judy Taylor, son Tony Taylor, brothers Jeff Taylor and Rick Taylor, sister Deb Brenner, and grandson Caleb Taylor.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the funeral to follow at the funeral home.
