It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas E. Berry (“Tom”), who left us on December 20, 2025, at the age of 74. Tom is leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories that will never leave us.

Born on May 13, 1951 (Mother’s Day) in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Tom was the son of the late Joseph A. Berry, Jr. and Jean C. Berry.

Tom dedicated his life to family, his career in the Manufacturing Housing industry, but most of all to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, Tom touched the lives of many with his sense of humor, his knowledge, and his friendship. He was an active member of Hope Church of Spartanburg and will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his zest for life, and the joy he brought to every gathering. Tom never met a stranger.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Jennifer M. Bostick, his son, Matthew T. Berry (Crystal), the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Kasey and Kaitlyn Srey, Destyni Berry, Mattalynne Berry, Emilee Berry. His sisters, Elizabeth Berry and Carol Berry, his niece, Kelly B. Usry (Ryan) and Charlie, his great-nephew, and his cherished companion, Sherry K. Berry, as well as countless friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his older brothers, Joseph and Daniel.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 AM, Friday, December 26, 2025, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A celebration of Tom’s life will follow in Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Daniel Thrower conducting services. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope Church, Spartanburg, SC or a charity of your choice in Tom’s memory.
