Thomas “Tom” Alvah Lathrop, age 64 years, of West Bend passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital surrounded by his loving family and dear friends.
Tom was born on July 25, 1960, in Milwaukee to Patrick and Lois Lathrop (nee Littmann). He was united in marriage to Diane M. Harmon on March 21, 1992, at St. Anne’s in Milwaukee.
Tom graduated from Cudahy High School. He worked for Marsh Electronics his entire career, and most recently was a Quality Auditor. Tom was a sports enthusiast and collector. He specialized in sports and music memorabilia. He enjoyed going to concerts, sporting events, and cheering for his favorite teams – San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and the Raiders of the NFL.
Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years, Diane; brothers, Michael (Joan) Lathrop and Patrick Lathrop Jr; mother-in-law, Kathleen Harmon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark Harmon, Paul Harmon, Donna (Wayne) Okray, and Dawn (Scott) Heibler; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Kristin) Okray, Gregory (fiancée Ashley) Okray, David (Bailey) Harmon, and Helaina Heibler; niece and goddaughter, Amy Harmon; great-nephew, Hudson Okray; godson, Daniel Zielinski III; canine companion, Jack; as well as other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia, and father-in-law, Wayne Harmon.
VISITATION: Tom’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:15 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Tom will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Mike Koebel officiating. Inurnment will be at Washington County Memorial Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s name can be directed to the American Kidney Fund or Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert West Bend Hospital and Fresenious Dialysis Center in West Bend for their care and compassion, and Interfaith Caregivers for their kindness and transportation services over the years.
