Thomas Christopher Velez, 42, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Katy, Texas, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was born on November 8, 1983, in Houston, Texas.

Thomas was the kind of person you never forgot. He had a big heart, a bright smile, and a sense of humor that could lift anyone's spirits. He loved deeply and lived fully, always putting his family first.

He was a proud and devoted father to his four daughters, Chasity, Chelsy, Kristina, and Katy. They were his whole world. Everything he did was for them, and his love and guidance will stay with them forever. He also leaves behind his mother, Mary Ann; his brothers, Michael Reyes and Joe Velez; and his girlfriend, Diana Melendez. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, whom he lovingly called Nanny and Granddaddy.

Thomas was outgoing, funny, and protective of the people he cared about. He had a humble spirit and a giving heart. Whether you knew him for years or just met him, he made you feel welcome. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He worked hard and faced life's challenges with determination and strength.

He had a creative side and loved to draw. He also loved being outdoors, camping under the stars, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on the Houston Astros. Country music was often playing nearby, and he never turned down good Italian or Mexican food.

More than anything, Thomas will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the love he gave so freely. His presence filled a room, and his absence will be deeply felt. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we had with him and the memories that will live on in all of us.

Thomas will forever be loved and will live on in our hearts.
