Thomas Washington Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Washington, a resident of York, Alabama, a cherished husband, father, and friend, who left us on December 6, 2024, at the age of 85. He peacefully transitioned surrounded by loving family at Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, MS. Born on October 14, 1939, in Eufaula, (Barbour County) Alabama to the union of the late James Eugene and Tommie Lee Ellington Washington, Thomas lived a life filled with dedication, hard work, and love.
Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Eastern Star Baptist Church, located 112 Curl Road, York, Alabama with pastor Rev. Robert E. Pearce delivering the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation. Mr. Washington will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, 11313 US Highway 11, also York, AL. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening, December 13. 2024 from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. From 5:30-6:00 P.M. his Masonic Brothers will perform their ceremony.
