Thomas "Tommy" Watkins Jr

Thomas "Tommy" Raymond Watkins Jr., 91, passed away peacefully the evening of Sunday, November 16, 2025. Tommy was born January 18, 1934, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Gertrude and Thomas Raymond Watkins Sr., and sister, Margaret "Peggy" Mizzell.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lydia Tucker Watkins of the home, his two children: Thomas Joseph Watkins Sr.(Donna) of Atlanta, and Jane Watkins Weinberger(Joel) of Raleigh, his four grandchildren: Sarah Duckworth (Matt) of Atlanta, Thomas J. Watkins Jr. (Libby) of Augusta, Ann Rummage (Nick) of Kenly, and Lydia Weinberger of Durham, as well as his six great-grandchildren: Pailin Grace, Jack Wells, Thomas Joseph III, Rhyann Amelia, Penelope Jean, and Charles Staten.
Tommy loved his family deeply. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather, and dear friend to so many. His memory will remain always with his family who loved him dearly, and he will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched throughout his journey.

A private family service will be held. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during their time of grief.
