THOMAS L. WAYNE, age 85, of Wickliffe, Ohio, formerly of Bedford, Ohio, passed away on December 1, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Lisa (nee Farmer); loving father of Deborah (late Terry) Boutilier and Karen (Jason) Cavadas; dearest grandfather of Desiree Dell, Danielle (Reggie) Hall and Dale Boutilier, and Ashley and Emma Cavadas; dear great grandfather of Braylin Provitt, Noah and Sadilynn Hall; brother of Sue (late John) Brown; uncle of Jeffrey and Craig Brown. Veteran, U.S. Navy. Thomas was a proud graduate of Bedford High School and served his country as a radio operator in the United States Navy before beginning a dedicated career as a lieutenant firefighter with Warrensville Hts. Fire Department. He loved country music and often sang on stage with local bands, especially inspired by his favorite artist, Marty Robbins. An avid guitar player and traveler, Tom held a special fondness for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He was an active member of the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society, contributing to their newsletter, and a loyal member of Eagles Aerie 2122. Tom will be remembered for his service, his passions, and the joy he brought to those around him. Friends and family will be received at St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146 on Friday, December 5 from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. with closing services at 7 P.M. Cremation to follow. No flowers, please. A charitable donation to the family will be greatly appreciated, in lieu of flowers, to help with funeral expenses.
