Richard A. Janecek

Richard A. Janecek, age 71, passed away on December 10, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clarence and Valerie (Kazimir) Janecek. Richard was a long-time resident of Northfield, Ohio and a graduate of Nordonia High School Class of 1972. He worked in construction with his dad for many years and was also a silk screener for most of his life. He was “Mr. Adventure” in his younger days, he enjoyed skydiving, motorcycle riding, hunting and fishing. Richard liked to work with his hands and could fix anything. He loved his family dearly and his grandsons were his world.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Carol Hayward, Ken Yarmesch, Robert Yarmesch and Michael Janecek. He is survived by his daughter Emily Teubl (Brian); his grandsons Austin and Evan Teubl; siblings Janice Smith, John Poleski, and Donald Janecek; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday December 16, 2025 from 4-7pm at St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Avenue, Bedford Ohio 44146, where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2025 at 11am. Burial to follow at Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery.
