Thomas Edward Williams, 79, of Lynchburg, Virginia went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert Melton Williams, Sr. and Irene Proffitt Williams.
Thomas was born on March 24, 1945, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He worked proudly for over 40 years as a welder and retired from Lynchburg Steel.
He was a member of The Moose Lodge and enjoyed dancing and was an avid car enthusiast.
Thomas is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, specifically, Peyton Williams, Jr. (Sherry), Brenda Cash, and Rodney Williams (Amy) who cared for him. He is also survived by his long-term fiancé, Molly Frances. He leaves behind his best fur friend, Flowers, who stayed by Thomas’ side until the very end.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Robert Melton Williams, Sr. (Phyllis), Virginia Williams Bryant (Gordon), and Peyton Williams, Sr. (Susie). He is also preceded in death by one nephew, Michael Williams, Sr.
