Thomas Wise Obituary

Thomas J. "Tommy" Wise III, 51, of West Finley, formerly of Wichita Falls, Texas, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in the Washington Hospital.

He was born on November 3, 1970, in Wichita Falls, a son of Barbara L. Jones Scott Burleson, and the late Thomas Jones Wise Jr.

A graduate of Iowa Park High School, in Iowa Park, Texas, he had been a member of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, in Knox City, Texas.

Mr. Wise had worked as a pump operator for Wildcat Oil Tools, in Carmichaels.

A jokester, Tommy got such a kick out of making people laugh. Along with his very adventurous nature, he was also a truly loving and generous soul, who always found pleasure in doing things for others. Riding his Razor side-by-side was one of his favorite pastimes, and he loved all the activities he could do in the outdoors. Most of all, Tommy loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Tammy L. Morrison Wise; six children, Christian (Kerri) Wise, Shea (Travis) Tharp, Justin Morrison, Steven Schoppert, Haley McKenzie, and Ethan Wise; a brother, Ronny (Michelle) Berry; a sister, Kristi (Chad) Smith; three grandchildren, Oaklee, Braxton and Kayson; a previous stepfather, Ted (Lisa) Berry; his mother-in-law, Kathy Morrison; and six nieces and nephews, Lexie Jump, Taylor Berry, Leighton Reed, Katie Smith, Casey Reed and Parker Berry.

Deceased are a brother, Cody Cooper; and his grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310.

The evening that I got home from work after hearing about Thomas, Beth poured 2 shots and we saluted The Man. Thomas was so great to know. A jokester at heart with great love and pride in his family. You couldn't help but laugh, smile and have a good conversation with him.

I remember him telling me about getting the big John Deere stuck when he was drilling a hole. Just to hear him tell it was hilarious. As he was drilling he slowed down, not something he should have done but hey. The wet dirt literally pulled the whole drill down and John Deere was standing up in the air. Thomas always made everything an adventure.

I am glad to count him as a friend. Will miss you bud. I know you're making heaven roar with laughter.

When Dave and I first met the family, Thomas was very outgoing, larger than life. He told Dave and I two different stories about meeting Tammy and in these stories he fell HARD!

I spoke with Tammy the day after and she told me that they got married. I just sobbed. Mainly bc it sb a joyous time. A time where Thomas would invite everyone over and set off fireworks.

Anyone that knew them saw the love they had for each other. Every time he spoke of Tammy he always called her his wife. They will remain two souls together forever.

God Bless Thomas, you are in The Lord's hands now
