Thomas Wulah, a cherished member of the Indianapolis community, passed away on December 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 17, 1957, in Greenville, Liberia, Thomas dedicated much of his life to serving others, both through his career and his extensive involvement in community organizations.

A proud graduate of Assembly of God Mission High School in Liberia in 1980, Thomas furthered his education by earning a Bachelor's of Art Degree from the University of Liberia in 1998. His professional journey included serving as a Special Assistant to the Director General of Civil Services of Liberia, as well as working diligently as a corrections officer.

In Indianapolis, Thomas was known for his commitment to community service and his active participation in various organizations. His proud accomplishments included being a member of the Free Masons, the Liberian Men's Association of Indiana, and the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas. He served as President of NEKTTA for two years, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to the greater good. He was also involved with the Borough Relief and Empowerment Foundation and the Liberian Association of Indiana.

Thomas's vibrant personality was marked by his humor and straightforward demeanor. Those who knew him would often describe him as a jokester with a big heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. He had a passion for sports, particularly as a goalkeeper in soccer and enjoyed playing basketball. Additionally, Thomas found joy in reading and a constant desire for learning, something that inspired those around him.

He is survived by his two children, nine siblings, one aunt, one uncle, and nine grandchildren. The love and spirit he shared will continue to thrive in the hearts of his family and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Francis Wulah, his mother, Mary Tom Wulah, and his brother, Robert Wulah. Their memories and legacies continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
