Thomas Wybierala, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 10, 2025, at Gardenview Nursing Home. Born on June 12, 1946, in St. Paul, MN, Thomas lived a life marked by duty, kindness, and a deep affection for his family and friends.

A proud veteran, Thomas honorably served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1993, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer IV. He dedicated his life to service, continuing his commitment to the military as a civilian auditor after retiring, during which he completed two tours in Iraq. His career mirrored his character—steadfast, reliable, and committed to making a difference. Thomas was very passionate about working, even working until the age of 70. After retiring, Thomas continued to stay active in his community by volunteering with the local Veterans Office and All Saints Catholic Church.

Education was a priority for Thomas, who graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1962 before pursuing higher education at Roosevelt University in Chicago and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. There, he earned his Master's Degree in Public Policy, embodying the belief in the importance of knowledge and leadership.

Thomas's personal interests painted a vivid picture of a man who embraced life with vigor. He found joy in reading and solving puzzles, and he was known for his ability to make friends wherever he went. His fondness for chain-smoking Marlboro Light cigarettes while enjoying a Budweiser earned him a reputation among his loved ones, even leading him to switch to Bud Light to "watch his waistline." He found delight in watching NCIS and Wheel of Fortune, and made an impressive collection of flannel shirts that became a hallmark of his warm personality.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy "Dot" Wybierala; his beloved daughters, Tina (Kevin) Dinwiddie and Stefanie (Matt) Boerner; his cherished grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Berkley, and Jackson; his dear sister, Anne Hubley; and his brother, Joe Wybierala. Thomas's parents, Anna and Joseph Wybierala, preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy of love and pride that he carried with him throughout his life.

A visitation will be held on December 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, concluding with a graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

As those who loved him come together to honor Thomas’s memory, they will undoubtedly remember his laughter, his unwavering support, and the warmth he brought into their lives. Thomas Wybierala will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
