Thomas Robert Zernia passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025.
He was born in Milwaukee to Robert and Florence (nee Taege) Zernia on January 9th, 1941. One of Four kids in the family, they sure were a handful growing up.
Tom joined the Air Force in 1958 and was part of the Strategic Air Command.
In 1960 he met the love of his life, Nancy Wutkowski. They were united in marriage on March 11th, 1961.
Tom was in auto parts sales most of his career life. He loved to fish and hunt, and was in the Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, WI. He loved to work with his hands and found the art of building furniture very relaxing.
Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy; Daughters: Susan Michaels, Barbara (Rob) Eisentraut, and Erica (longtime boyfriend Jake) Zernia; Grandchildren: Krystina Jankus, Simon Eisentraut, and Arion St. Peter; Great grandchildren: Ashlyn and Phoenyx.
He is further survived by: Brother, Gary (Juanita) Zernia; Sister, Karen (Ed) Simolon; As well as nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: His mom and dad; Sister, Carol; and Nephew, Todd.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 1:00-3:00pm, with a prayer service and military honors to follow at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in Tom's name.
