Thoung Youth

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Thoung Youth, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Born on March 3rd, 1974, in the peaceful state of Tanintharyi, Myanmar, to parents U Pauk and Daw Shwe Kyi, Thoung was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.

From his earliest years, Thoung carried within him a quiet strength, an unshakable resilience, and a boundless love for those around him. He grew up surrounded by his cherished siblings: Ko Do, Ma San, Win Naing, Aye Aye Maung, and Saw Dah, and it was within this close-knit family that his generous spirit began to bloom.

Thoung dedicated his life to serving others with his hands, his heart, and his hope. He was a man who never stopped moving, never stopped giving. No matter how weary he was from the day, he would always ask if you were okay. His love knew no boundaries, and his selflessness was unwavering.

In Myanmar, Thoung fought bravely for the freedom of his people. He believed in justice, in dignity, and in building a better future. That belief led him to make a life-changing journey to America, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to keep his dreams alive. He never took for granted the new life he was building and gave every ounce of his being to making it full of love, laughter, and safety.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sein Aye, and their two children, San Youth and Emily Youth whom he adored with every fiber of his being. Everything Thoung did, he did for them. His sacrifices, his long hours, and his endless acts of kindness were all quiet echoes of his love.

Thoung had a remarkable talent for fixing things such as cars, broken machines, even broken hearts. He found joy in strumming his guitar on quiet nights and found companionship in the dogs he treated like family. When time was given, he often devoted support to the Buddhist temple during these past three years. Thoung was an immense contribution for community service acts that were occurring. He loved fiercely, worked relentlessly, and gave endlessly.

Those who knew him will remember the warmth in his smile, the strength in his silence, and the immensity of his heart. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, perseverance, and love, a legacy that will live on in the lives he touched and the family he so deeply cherished.

Rest peacefully, Thoung. Your love endures in every life you made better, every burden you helped carry, and every heart that now beats stronger because of you.
