MR. TIMOTHY FELTON "TIM" ALLEN, age 63, Eastman, GA, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:30PM Sunday, August 31. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, August 31, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Mr. Shelly Berryhill and Rev. Troy Davis officiating.
Tim was born in Eastman, GA on September 11, 1961, to the late Shelby Jean Hickman Allen and Felton L. Allen. He was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a 1979 graduate of Dodge County High School, and of the Baptist Faith. He served in the National Guard and with Civil Defense for several years during the 1980s. He was a former owner and operator of Trek Enterprise, where he installed satellite dishes and T.V. services, and later worked for Easter Seals as a supervisor for several years, before working for the Dodge County Sheriff's Department as a jailor. Tim believed in serving his community and dedicated many years of service as a volunteer fireman for Plainfield Volunteer Fire Station, Crossroads Volunteer Fire Station, and with the Eastman Fire Department. He later earned his EMT certification and worked as an EMT for Dodge County EMS, served as a Deputy Coroner for the Dodge County Coroner's Office, and worked part time for M & M Pawn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, HAM radios, and spending time with his family and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sonya Renfroe Allen, and brother, Brian Lee Allen.
He is survived by his Children – Dakota Allen of Eastman, Benjamin Lee Grafton (Amber Linder) of Warner Robins, and Elizabeth Thompson of Dublin; 7 Grandchildren; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Katie Dopson (Justin) of Cochran and Del Renfroe (Ellen) of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles – Carl Hickman (Diane), Pat Hill, and David Hickman; Numerous coworkers and friends.
The family may be contacted at the Allen residence, 170 J.T. Barlow Rd., Eastman.
