Tim Bykowski

Timothy Bykowski was born on May 10, 1978, and from that moment on, the world became a funnier and far more interesting place. Tim was the adored son of his Mother and Dad, Terri and Paul Kowal. He was a much-loved brother to Amy Drake (Dan), Jayson Bykowski (Misty), step-sister Jessica Morgan (the late Charles) and step-brother, Jameson Stafford (Shanna). He is also survived by his father and step-mother, Frank and Cheryl Bykowski, and many extended family members who loved him.

Tim truly shined in his favorite role: fun uncle. He was the proud and playful uncle of Daniel Drake (Makayla), Nicholas Drake, Katelyn Drake, and Jack Bykowski. Whether it was making them laugh, telling stories, or showing up with that unmistakable grin, Uncle Tim never disappointed. He believed every gathering was better with laughter-and preferably a little chaos-and he delivered both generously.

Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Margaret Bykowski; his grandparents Arvil and Clare Hansen, and Frank and Lillian Bykowski; and his uncle, Dan Komorek.

To know Tim was to love him-and to laugh, often without warning. He never met a stranger, only future friends. Tim had a gift for making people feel instantly at ease, usually within seconds and often with a perfectly timed comment or his signature laugh-one so distinctive it could be recognized from across a room.

Above all, Tim loved deeply. His family meant everything to him, and his heart was also claimed by his beloved dogs, Shelby and Vega, who were spoiled and adored.

Tim will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his huge heart, and the way he made life more fun just by being in the room. A memorial gathering will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks E. of Van Dyke), Utica on Sunday (February 1st) from 10am until the time of service at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
